一道英语选择题。

表示: 需要…… demand sth = need/ want sth very much, 急需，非常需要……

这里涉及到require 的特殊用法：

require 有不同的意思和搭配：

1、require + sth = need sth= ask for sth，需要、要求得到……

2、require sb to do sth = ask sb to do sth，要求……做

3、require that sb/sth + (should) do...（法律、制度、规章）要求、规定……（虚拟语气）

= It is required that sb/sth (should ) do....

4。 Sth + require + doing/ to be done

= Sth + want/ need + doing/ to be done

……需要 （被）修理等。

注意：不定式要用“被动形式”，即...to be done

但是，-ing, 则必须是“主动形式”，即，...doing (不可说，...being done)

这就是我们平时说的“以主动形式表示被动的语义”。

如，我的车坏了，它需要修理了。

My car is broken. It requires/ wants/ needs + to be repaired / repairing.

....(= to be fixed/ fixing)

demand 不可以有这样的用法。
