act 和enact 有什么区别?
enact是及物动词 vt.(transitive verb)
用法比较书面,可以理解为制定(法律);颁布(法案)
比如:
Several bills were enacted at the end of this session of Parliament.
几项法案在这届国会的会议结束时被颁布。
或者还可以理解成上演;扮演(角色),比如:
They enacted the roles of hero and heroine in the play.
他们在这出戏中担任男、女主角。
而act,作vt.时有如下意思:
1. 扮演
He acted Othello at the Royal Theater that evening.
那天晚上他在皇家剧院扮演奥赛罗。
2. 装出;举动像
He acted the wise man who knew everything and never made mistakes.
他假装成是无所不知,从不出错的聪明人。
在act作不及物动词时vi.有:
1. 行动[(+on/for)]
We should act immediately.
我们应该立即行动。
2. 起作用,见效[(+on/upon)]
3. 假装;演戏,表演
The actress acts very well.
