It's very important for children to do things on their own,so parents must take measures to develop their independence.

First,impress the importance of independence on your kids.Make it clear that you can't take care of them all through their life,and someday they'll leave you and step into the society themslves.

Second ,you should not do everything for your kids.Teach them how to do some simple chores to start,such as watering the grass,clean their own plate etc.

Third,help them to form good habits,for example,finishing homework on time and getting up early.
